Please read carefully the terms and conditions as stated below:

The term `the Company` Refers to our trading names Joinery Design

From time to time, it will be necessary to update these Terms and Conditions without notice.

Order Confirmation
Any order placed is provisional until the Company receives a deposit and/or signed
receipt slip of which will be deemed to be the client’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Deposits
On placing an order, a non-refundable deposit as stated on the quotation is required before work can commence. Deposits are held for a maximum of 12 months after which if the company is unable to start work through no fault of its own the contract is cancelled unless specifically agreed in writing.

Refunds
Refunds will be offered solely at the discretion of the Company. Once a refund has been approved by the company then it will be processed  normally within 28 days. In the case where the goods have already been manufactured then the refund will be delayed until the goods have been re-sold.

Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation by the client verball or in writing after deposit taken will incur the full cost of the project by the client.

Prices and Payment
Any prices agreed through a formal estimate are valid for 30 days from the date of that estimate.
The final balance may be subject to change depending on any changes made from the original quotation after commencement of work, any changes will have to be agreed in writing at the discretion of the Company.  Balance Payments are due when we start manufacture which is normally at lleast 2 weeks  prior to order being finished and dispatched. Goods will not be dipatched until cleared funds have been received. it is not dependant on photos being sent prior to payment.

Balance payment must be made on commencement of product manufacture, in full and be cleared at least 2 weeks before dispatch.

Goods will not leave the factory until cleared payment has been made.

All goods & services shall remain the property of the Company until full settlement is made.

If your cheque is returned by the bank as unpaid for any reason, the client will be liable for a ‘returned cheque’ charge of £25

Deposits can be made using card,paypal,cheque,bacs or cash. The Balance payments are to be made using Bank transfer,cheque or cash only. We do not accept card or paypal as method of payment for the balance payment.

Settlement of the invoice in full, less any advanced payment, must be made on completion/delivery of goods, unless prior arrangement for credit facilities has been arranged with the Company

Delivery and Dates

All delivery dates are approximate and the Company  will not be held responsible if changes occur.

Lead times are an approximation only and vary dependant on time of order.

Delivery charge is for the handling,packaging and prteparation of the goods for collection or by couirier. This charge is non-refundable regardless if the client decides to collect  or it is dispatched via Courier

the Company accept no liabilty for any costs incurred if delivery is delayed for any reason.

Its is suggested that no tradesmen are booked for installation until the goods have been delivered.

The company accepts no liabilty when trademen have been booked before the goods have arrived on site

Where Goods are delivered via Courier or Pallet Company Joinery Design Cannot specify time of Delivery.

Tracking can sometimes be inaccurate or in case of palletted delivery unavailable and the company accept no liabilty when deliverys are delayed beyond the companys control

If the courier cannot get to the delivery site then the goods will be returned to the depot. The buyer will need to make own arrangements to re-arrange delivery direct with the depot or collect the goods direct.

Late Payment

The Company understand and will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to the agreed credit terms.

Cancellation by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel an order at any time and without prior notice if:
The client fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
The client is more than 28 days in arrears with payment to the Company for previously supplied goods / services.
The client is unable to pay its debts as they fall due.

The Client is unable to proceed withe oredr after 12 months

Glass
Glazing units are guaranteed by the Company for a statutory 1year period, after that the glazing manufacturers guarantee applies. Unless agreed specificaly all glazing is supplied loose for installation on site.  Glass sizes Can be supplied prior to dispatch but we accept no liabilty if they dont fit or wrong units are ordered by the client. It always advised that the client waits for the goods to be delivered before ordering an Glass or glass units.

Painting.

Some timber species will absorb paint and will continue to have grain lifting,shrinkage,swelling etc  after leaving the factory. It is a condition of acceptance of an order that all joinery supplied with a top coat will require another top coat after installation. Paint can be supplied along with the  delivery. 

Glazing and Hanging.

AS per building regs all doors and windows are to be externally glazed. All beads are to fitted to the exterior of the door and windows. Internally glazed doors will be proned to water ingress and the company accepts no liability regarding incorrectly fitted joinery

Timber
All joinery is guaranteed for 1 year. Please note that timber is a natural product and can be subject to change in dimension and character, the Company can and will not be held responsible in these unlikely events. All joinery supplied must be fully treated after installation by the client  within 2 weeks of delivery.

Any excessive shrinkage or erxpansion is the result of the timbers not being adequately treated. No liabilty is accepted by the company in this case.

In the event of any returns being required within the statutory 1 year the carriage cost will be borne by the customer.

Doors

Unless specified all flat panels will be exterior grade ply.

unless specified internal and external glazing beads profile sections will be at the discrection of the company

Jointing will either be mortice and tenon or a mechanical fixing at the companys discretion.

Miscellaneous
Any electrical work to be supplied by the client.

Onsite fitting: The Company will not be responsible for any incidental making good ie: plastering, rendering. This will be carried out by the client.

Building Regs

The client is soley resposible for checking that their order is compliant with their local authority building regulations.

Painting.

It is a condition of acceptance of an order that all joinery supplied with a top coat will require another top coat after installation. Paint can be supplied along with the  delivery. No liability can be accepted for damaged paintwork in pre-finished delivered items requiring attention. This will need to be done after installation. All joinery should be balanced in respect of finishes ie paint inside and outside or staining. Joinery that has different finishes on exterior and interior can lead to to problems with timbers climatising at different rates leading to problems. The company accepts no liability if problems arise from incorrect finishes applied
